Ted Ruttan

Lead Facilitators

Ted loves: Cross -country skiing, mountain biking, canoeing, tubing and pretty well every outdoor sport!

You might meet Ted during: A school trip, the Canopy Tour,  Cross Country Skiing, at the High Ropes Course, Canoeing, or Mountain Biking

Growing up in North Bay, Ted developed a deep-seeded love for outdoor activities. He studied Eco-Tourism at Candalore College, and has spent most of the past decade working in the tourism industry – from guiding dog sled tours, to flat and white water rafting tours! Ted joined Haliburton Forest in the fall of 2017 as a group experience guide for an overnight camping out trip. With his past experience, Ted was great fit to stay with us for the winter and has been with us ever since. Ted’s passion for the outdoors and all the activities you can explore them with is inspiring and infectious. Everyone he meets will feel his energy and enthusiasm.

Ted loves to share the outdoors with Sequoia (aka Princess Wolfie), a retired sled dog he adopted from our kennel. While Ted is not working you can find him outside mountain biking, canoeing, cross country skiing and exercising Sequoia.
