Pia joined Haliburton Forest in September 2016 as a Forestry Intern. She soon fell in love with our sled dogs as well as dog sledding and started working with both the Forestry and Group Experiences departments. Studying Forestry and Forest Ecology back home in Göttingen, Germany, she started writing her Master Thesis about the White-Tailed Deer population dynamics at Haliburton Forest. After graduating university she came back to us to start working here in Group Experiences, Biology and Forestry.

Pia loves to share her knowledge about nature and wildlife, and is always keen on expanding it by meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

She loves to travel and the outdoors. While Pia is not working you can find her hiking, canoeing, mountain biking or just reading a book in the sun.
