Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve Ltd. is crossed by over three hundred kilometers of forest access roads and trails making it one of North America's premier mountain biking destinations.Mountain Bike jump at sunset

The Adventure

From Base Camp at Kennisis Lake, the main trail heads north. A large four colour map of the area can be obtained at Base Camp free of charge. It shows the trail system, location of shelters, lakes and other useful information. Riders can stick to the rolling access roads, take one of the many wide forest trails, or plan a route that takes them off to some of the toughest terrain in the Province.

An active afternoon, full day or even a week can be spent peddling from one wilderness lake to another. Wildlife is plentiful and visitors are likely to see a variety of deer, beaver, moose, bear and other animal life.

Trail Map

The Mountain Bike Trail Map is available free of charge. This map indicates all trails using 3 levels of difficulty - easy, moderate and difficult to extreme. It highlights the downhill sections, contours of the land, lakes and any shelter cabins. It is invaluable to all riders.
