Juliana is originally from Ottawa, and has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in forestry and is now working on a PhD in forestry at the University of Toronto. She first came to Haliburton Forest to do field work as a part of her PhD and spent several summers staying at the research camp in Haliburton Forest and collecting forest data. She eventually moved to the area for good and began working at the Wolf Centre in 2020 and occasionally with HF Stewardship Services while working on finishing her PhD thesis. She loves to share her knowledge with others about wolves, trees, and nature in general. When she isn’t at the Wolf Centre or doing her school work, you can find her working in her garden, feeding her chickens or cross-country skiing.
