Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing in the forest - by Hermann ThoeneProvide your students with a very traditional and still practical way of navigating the bush in the winter-time. Day trips or multi-day trips may be planned that involve snowshoeing. Incorporating snowshoeing as your mode of transportation into the program will offer the students an opportunity to experience the quiet of the forest in the winter months. We have 80,000 acres of land available to explore through the forest, walk off the beaten trail, see areas unhampered by dog sleds or snowmobile traffic.

The use of snowshoeing is a suggested travelling option for winter activities, such as: Wilderness Survival Skills, Wilderness Navigation, some of the Adventure Based Leadership programs, and travelling to the Wolf Center.
