Dog sledding is the ultimate activity for being physically active, having fun, building relationships, enjoying animals, and finding a love for the winter. Your students will participate in a historic and sustainable method of travel while enjoying their natural surroundings. Students have the opportunity, in pairs, to drive their own dog sled team, through the wilderness of Haliburton Forest. Your students will receive thorough instructions for operating the dog sled, being aware of the dogs, and communicating with one and other. Finally, students will explore the forest on an introduction tour (1hr) or a half day tour (2hr) lead by one of our professional experienced guides.
On their return, students will get to meet and greet some of the friendly Siberian Huskies inside the kennel. Pair the student's adventure with other winter activities, like: cross-country skiing, wilderness survival skills, and snowshoeing to really complete their winter learning experience.
