Rock Climbing

Rock climbing - by Sam AllardThere are not many places in Ontario that you can climb on natural rock walls, but at Haliburton Forest we have a one of a kind rock face that is appropriate for all participants. In just one place we will teach you how to climb, belay, and work together. We will design a positive space and encourage everyone to challenge themselves on beginner or more difficult routes. This natural rock wall is located at our Stocking Lake facility which also provides groups with an off-the-grid experience. To create a full day experience at this location you can pair rock climbing with the High-Ropes course or canoeing. Participants learn so much about themselves, therefore making this experience one that is hard to pass up.

High-Ropes

The high-ropes course that Haliburton Forest has created is state of the art. Teamwork and balance on high ropes courseAfter a short hike to the course, challenge yourself by balancing on cables, tires, and ropes within the trees. Your guide will provide all the instruction you need to participate and be safe in this challenging activity. Your experience will bring about smiles, laughter, confidence building, and learning to support one another. The high-ropes course is located at our Stocking Lake facility.  You could rock climb in the morning and challenge the high-ropes in the afternoon. The high-ropes challenge course is designed to press the limits and create great learning and growing opportunities for each individual. Consider extending your experiences at height by participating in our leisurely walk, The Canopy Tour. Returning home, your group will not stop talking about this challenge course. Canopy tour - by Sam Allard
