DESCRIPTION:6th Annual Speciality Lumber and Character Log Auction\n \nWood-aficionados are welcomed to our annual Specialty Lumber and Character Log Auction. At this event\, Haliburton Forest offers a large variety of wood related products. From run of the mill lumber and timbers\, to rarities and oddities. We will have hard and softwood lumber in a variety of dimensions and grades. Bird’s Eye Maple\, Tiger Beech\, Flaming Birch\, oversized Pine and Hemlock\, as well as speciality Oak and Cherry may be available. Other auction items may include: burls\, spalted wood blanks and ingrown trees from small to mammoth proportions.  This is an outdoor event that will run rain or shine. Participants should make sure to dress appropriately for the weather. \n  \nAttendees will be able to view lots on Friday\, May 11 until 10:00 am on the auction day. Haliburton Forest will have generated all wood products on auction and as such they originate from sustainable forestry practices. We will have a mobile mill on-site for customized milling of purchased logs. Buyers can arrange delivery of purchased lots after payment. \nCost: There is no registration fee for this event. To begin the Easter fun\, register at the Wolf Centre on Saturday\, March 31\, between 11 am and 1 pm. \nGet your family out to spend some quality time following clues\, finding puzzle pieces hidden around Base Camp. Families who have collected all the puzzle pieces can assemble their puzzle to gain a raffle ticket for the chance to win one of 3 AMAZING prizes.  Prizes to be announced a few days before the event.  The family to complete their puzzle FIRST will win a family membership to the Wolf Centre! \nThose who finish hunting quick like a bunny can head to the Seminar Building for some more activities.  Haliburton Forest Staff will be showing the movie Hop at 1 pm.  We will also be set up for participants to make a lovely Easter creation. \nPrizes will be drawn at 3 pm.  Winners do not have to be present for the draw.  Want more chances to win a prize?  Share a photo of your experience on social media with the #haliburtonforest and tag @haliburton_forest (on Instagram)\, @HaliburtonForest (on Facebook) to claim an additional ticket for the draw! \nPre-registration is not required. DESCRIPTION:Let The Quest Begin\nPhoto Credit: Stephanie Brown\nGet ready for some entertaining March Break activities hosted at the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre.  This year\, we are trying something new! \nJoin us for the Amazing Wolf Centre Scavenger Quest where visitors are encouraged to follow the clues and find the hidden answers.  To complete the challenge\, players must search both inside and outside the Wolf Centre (within a limited area).  During the quest\, participants will be collecting small prizes and learning about the natural world along the way.  Successful explorers get to show their skills and earn their very own Wolf Centre Poster! \nWolf watching\, crafts\, brain-teasers\, stories\, movies and more are available to both participants and non-participants alike\, but the ultimate ‘bring home’ this year is the chance for the visitors to select\, mould\, and replicate their very own animal tracks. \n  \n  \nCome join us Monday\, Wednesday and Friday of the March Break at 1:00 pm and let the Quest begin!  While you are here don’t forget to visit our Base Camp and see our moose Hershe and maybe grab a snack at the Cookhouse Restaurant and Store! \nCost for the event is the regular Wolf Centre admission: Adults $12.00; Children (7-17) $7.00; children 6 and under are no charge; and a Family Pass (2 adults and their children) $25.00.  Art and craft supplies included.

DESCRIPTION:Let The Quest Begin\nPhoto Credit: Stephanie Brown\nGet ready for some entertaining March Break activities hosted at the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre.  This year\, we are trying something new! \nJoin us for the Amazing Wolf Centre Scavenger Quest where visitors are encouraged to follow the clues and find the hidden answers.  To complete the challenge\, players must search both inside and outside the Wolf Centre (within a limited area).  During the quest\, participants will be collecting small prizes and learning about the natural world along the way.  Successful explorers get to show their skills and earn their very own Wolf Centre Poster! \nWolf watching\, crafts\, brain-teasers\, stories\, movies and more are available to both participants and non-participants alike\, but the ultimate ‘bring home’ this year is the chance for the visitors to select\, mould\, and replicate their very own animal tracks. \n  \n  \nCome join us Monday\, Wednesday and Friday of the March Break at 1:00 pm and let the Quest begin!  While you are here don’t forget to visit our Base Camp and see our moose Hershe and maybe grab a snack at the Cookhouse Restaurant and Store! \nCost for the event is the regular Wolf Centre admission: Adults $12.00; Children (7-17) $7.00; children 6 and under are no charge; and a Family Pass (2 adults and their children) $25.00.  Art and craft supplies included.

DESCRIPTION:From Tree to Sawdust\nThe Sawmill is one of the many things we are involved with at Haliburton Forest.  Our Sawmill was originally constructed to support the forestry operations on Haliburton Forest property which has since grown to support many other companies tied to the timber industry. \nWe are proud of our involvement and are happy to share our knowledge about the land and wood processing.  Tours of our Sawmill will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday of the March Break\, led by our Managing Director\, Malcolm Cockwell. \nJoin Malcolm as he shares with you the importance of our forestry operations and the Sawmill.  Those on tour will also learn about the many products generated that are used in the sustainable forestry that we are known for both locally and internationally. \n\n\nTours run Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm.  Please make sure you reserve your spot today! \nAdults: $15.00\nYouth (17 and younger): $10.00\nFamily (2 Adults & up to 4 children 17 and younger): $30.00 \n*Please note rates are subject to HST. \nWhile you are here\, don’t forget to check some of the other things we have to offer\, including: the Cookhouse Restaurant\, visit our resident moose Hershe and visit the Wolf Centre to see what our captive wolves are up to!

DESCRIPTION:Collect All 5 Tokens!\nPhoto Credit: Peter Redman of Haliburton Forest\nPoker Run participants will ride the trails via snowmobile or ATV visiting our 5 shelter cabins.  Each cabin will offer a coloured token and refreshments!  Before 5:00 pm participants turn in their tokens in order to draw a poker hand.  All proceeds from the event are donated to the Haliburton Firefighters Association.  First prize for best poker hand is a brand new snowmobile!  Book your pass today!  If you have not visited Haliburton Forest before check out the shelter cabin locations on our snowmobile trail map! \nWhile participating don`t forget to check out some of our amazing scenic areas such as The Gorge\, Redstone Vista and the Lookout! \nContact: For more information please call 1-800-631-2198 (Ext.
