Thank you for doing your part! We appreciate the patience that you have all afforded us as we develop and understand the ongoing changes in regulations, guidelines and protocols.

We will continue to adjust our operations as change happens and we receive guidance from the provincial police, our local health unit as well as the provincial government.  

All guests entering and wishing to recreate and/or stay at Haliburton Forest must self-assess before visiting us.

Ultimately, if you are feeling ill, out of sorts or have possibly been exposed to anyone with COVID 19 we ask you to please stay at home.

What Is Open and What Is Not?!

June 7, 2021 the provincial government announced a that Phase 1 of the Roadmap to Reopen will commence Friday, June 11th, 2021. Below reflects the potential three phases. Dates and information can change at any time. 

Hiking, Running and Biking Trails – Mix of dry, muddy and wet but OPEN. Get your day or season’s passes here or at the Main Office. See a map and check out conditions here.

Main Office (Gas and Propane) – Open seven days a week 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please wear a mask at all times and stay 2 metres/6 feet from staff at all times.  Our new swag also available to purchase online for shipping or curbside pick up!  Check it out.

Comfort Station – Open.

Accommodations – Open. **NEW** All kitchen wares (i.e. dishes, pots, pans, etc.) have been pulled from accommodations. Guests are more than welcome to bring their own. Guests must also provide all their own bedding, towels, pillows.

Camping OPEN as of Friday, June 11th!!

Cookhouse – Open for take-out, essential retail and outdoor dinning for up to 4 people per table as of Friday, June 11. Visit here for hours of operation, and menu. For daily specials, be sure to follow them on Social Media: Instagram @haliburton_cookhouse and Facebook @haliburtoncookhouse

Roads – Open for day use/season’s pass holders.

Dog Sledding Kennels – Closed to the public. We will start running Kennels Tours and Husky Hikes on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021.

Wolf Centre – Closed. Hoping to re-open Wednesday, July 28.  Be sure to visit their online store!

Guided Fishing OPEN as of Friday, June 11th!!

Yours OutdoorsOPEN as of Friday, June 11th!!

Canopy Tours – First tours will run Saturday, June 19th.

Paddleshop – Operating.  Call or email Corey for curbside pick up or online shopping.

Tennis/Pickleball Courts – Open.
