The entrance and main office for Haliburton Forest is located at the Base Camp at 1095 Redkenn Road (click here for maps and directions), and our opening times right now are:

Daily Property Use Permit
The daily use permit for Haliburton Forest is $16 per day for an adult during spring, summer and fall. This fee increases to $49 per day in winter. We offer a seasonal summer-rate, which is $ 135 per adult between Victoria Day and the weekend after Thanksgiving.
Accommodation - Cottages & Log Cabins
Spacious 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom housekeeping units with 3-piece bathrooms and two unique and quaint open loft cabins are available for our guests. Accommodations are fully equipped with TV to microwave, most with fireplaces, offering a fitting home base for excursions into the forest.

Many individual water access campsites are available for short term use during the summer. Each site is equipped with an outhouse and picnic table.
The campsite fee is $49 per night, which includes two adults and their accompanying children. Additional adults, up to 4 per site, pay a fee of $ 16/day. Early booking is advised.
Camping fees for one night include the property use permit for one day.
Trail passes: $16 per person.
Bike rentals: Full day $35 -- Half day (after 1:00 PM) $25
The rental fleet includes 12 Specialized Hard-Rock mountain bikes. They are great cross-country bikes suitable for beginners through experienced riders. They are hard-tail (no rear shock, with an adjustable front shock-fork) 24 speed.
Daily Trail Passes: $49 per person per day, passenger: $10.
Seasonal Trail Passes: $400 per person before Jan.1st; $450 after Jan. 1st
Family Season Passes: $450 for the first machine per family, $200 for second and $100 for each additional machine.
Please Note: Children under 18 are to be accompanied by parent/guardian. At time of purchase valid ownership and insurance per snowmobile must be presented to staff in the Main Office.
HFW campsite lessees: $100 per snowmobile or ATV per season.
Per day mid-week Monday to Thursday: $274 including trail fee and full tank of fuel.
Per day weekends Friday to Sunday and on holidays: $324 including trail fee and full tank of fuel.
The hourly rate is $ 149 for the first and $ 35 for each additional hour with a 2 hour rental minimum.
Please Note: The required deposit for each snowmobile rental is $2,500 (Visa, MasterCard or Cash).
The fees to visit the Haliburton Wolf Center are:
- Adult: $12
- Children and Youths under 6 years: FREE
- 7 -17: $7
- Family: $25
The fee for the Canopy Tour is $95 per adult and $70 for youths over 10.
The group rate for a complete tour of 12 participants is $85 per person.
The Canopy Tour fee includes the admission to the Wolf Center. Pre-registration is required.

Astronomy programs run every Friday (and with enough demand Saturday) throughout the summer (from end of June to end of August).
The fee is $20 per adult and $15 for children and youths.
Canoes, in various shapes and sizes, can be rented for $35 per day, this is in addition to the property use fee.
The canoe rental includes all of the necessary equipment: paddles, life jackets and mandatory safety equipment (bailing bucket, tow rope, whistle).
