Base Camp Accommodation

Haliburton Forest offers onsite accommodation in rustic, yet quaint, 2 and 3 bedroom housekeeping units as well as 2 open-loft Picture of Sugar Shack Log Cabinlog cabins located at the Base Camp, the entrance point into the forest.

Our accommodations are ideal for individuals or groups planning to spend quality time at Haliburton Forest with one of our many programs, team building workshops or just out to enjoy the beauty of the Forest. In addition, for the more adventurous at heart, throughout the summer months we offer lakeside drive in camping.

Haliburton Forest is a pet friendly facility. To view our Pet Policy please download the Pet Waiver (in PDF Format). At time of booking please ensure to tell your experience broker that you would like to bring your furry friend and we will do our best to accommodate.

On Site Amenities

All conveniences, such as the main office, equipment rentals, gas and oil sales, walking trails, tennis courts, campfire pit, convenience store (for when you forget those marshmallows) and ample parking are within walking distance from the accommodations.

As well as our fully licenced restaurant The Cookhouse.

The Haliburton Highlands offers guests a wide diversity and large number of accommodation providers: from B&B's to lodges and full service hotels to family resorts. Depending on your personal choice, all will provide a fitting base to explore the highlands and all they have to offer. Haliburton Forest is cooperating closely with a select group of accommodators. Accommodation Rates

Rates are based on a minimum number of adults per unit, which varies with each unit. Accommodation fees for one night include property use from check in at 3:00 pm on day of arrival, until the end of the day, day of departure. Check out is 11:00 am.

Spring, Summer & Fall Rates:
(These rates apply as soon as snowmobile trails close until they open again. Typically late March to the beginning of December)

  • $75.00 per person adult (18 and older) per night, plus HST
  • $37.50 per youth (7 to 17 years old) per night, plus HST
  • Children 6 and under free

Winter Rates:
(These rates apply as soon as snowmobile trails are open. Typically the second weekend of December until mid to late March)

  • $99.00 per snowmobile driver per night, plus HST (youth with valid snowmobile license and own snow machine will be considered an adult)
  • $49.50 per youth (7 to 17 years old passenger only) per night, plus HST
  • Children 6 and under free
  • There is a 2 night minimum stay on weekends during the winter
Weekday Dog Sledding AccommodationPackages, available Monday to Thursday nights. The following accommodations prices are valid for those that are dog sledding, and not snowmobiling.
  • $75.00 per person adult (18 and older) per night, plus HST
  • $37.50 per youth (7 to 17 years old) per night, plus HST
  • Children 6 and under free
