After the success of its first Forest Store, conveniently located in the centre of the village of Haliburton, a second Forest Store has opened on Huntsville's Main Street in May of 2012.
The Forest Stores offer an exciting view into Haliburton Forest by presenting a range of over one hundred unique, one-of-a-kind wood products that have all been locally produced from wood harvested exclusively within the 80,000 acres of Haliburton Forest, Canada's first FSC certified sustainable forest.
In addition, The Forest Stores offer a glimpse into the past by displaying an extensive collection of European, wooden antiques.
While marveling at the exciting selection of both old and new wood products, visitors to the Forest Stores can learn about any aspect of Haliburton Forest, be it the renowned Wolf Centre, the acclaimed Canopy Tour, winter adventures by snowmobile and dogsledding or the annual Forest Festival, just to name a few of the many attractive activities on offer. The Forest Store is your portal into all that Haliburton Forest has to offer short of visiting the Forest yourself.
